Cross-site scripting via unsanitized post_title parameter
Published Mar 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Ovation Dynamic Content for Elementor 1.10.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via post_title. The plugin places the attacker-controlled parameter into a rendered input value without proper sanitization or validation, causing injected markup to be interpreted by the browser. An authenticated request and subsequent victim interaction are required; execution occurs in the victim's browser and can expose or manipulate that session.
