Stored XSS via bypassable equipment-note filter
Published Oct 20, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in EasyVista Service Manager 2018.1.181.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via an equipment note. The New equipment page stores a notes value after an incomplete filter blocks script tags but permits event-handler syntax such as an image error handler. An authenticated attacker must register equipment, and JavaScript runs in the browser of any user, including an administrator, who opens its details.
