Server file disclosure via Ehcache XML parsing
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
XXE in MashZone NextGen 10.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated administrators to read server files via crafted Ehcache XML. Ehcache configuration registration sends supplied XML to an application parser that evaluates external entities and resolves attacker-controlled entity URIs. Administrative access to the registration feature is required; successful use can read internal files, send requests into internal networks, or exhaust server resources.
