Denial of service in Go before 1.15.13 and 1.16.0 through 1.16.4 allows attackers to terminate applications via large exponents. Rat.SetString accepts excessive decimal or binary exponents and passes them to power-of-five exponentiation or big-integer shifts instead of rejecting them. Reachability depends on an application passing attacker-controlled text to Rat.SetString or Rat.UnmarshalText; failure panics or irrecoverably terminates the process.
