Improper access control in Intel Ethernet Adapters before 29.0.1 and I225 firmware before 1.87 allows local users to escalate privileges. Intel has not published the affected firmware locus or the access-control operation performed incorrectly. Exploitation requires authenticated local access and grants higher privileges on host components outside the firmware's original security scope.
