Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized log parameters
Published Jun 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Oracle GlassFish Server 3.1.2.18 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The logViewer.jsf search reflects four date and time parameters into the administration page without correctly sanitizing user-supplied data. An administrator must follow a crafted URL while authenticated, after which the script can act on and read data available to that session.
