Incorrect default permissions in Intel Advisor before 2021.4.0 allow local users to escalate privileges through its software installer. Intel identifies the installer as the affected locus but has not disclosed which files, directories, or access-control entries receive permissions that are too broad. Exploitation requires authenticated local access, high attack complexity, and user interaction, after which the attacker can gain elevated privileges.
