CVE-2021-33117

Local information disclosure via improper access control

Published May 12, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025

Improper access control in Intel 3rd Generation Xeon Scalable Processors before BIOS MR7 allows local users to disclose information. Intel identifies the flaw only as improper access control in processor firmware and does not disclose the protected resource, access check, or data exposed. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access on an affected 06_6AH processor with CPU ID 606AX and platform ID 0x87, and the reported consequence is information disclosure only.
