CVE-2021-33087

Local denial of service via improper authentication

Published Nov 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper authentication in Intel NUC M15 Management Engine driver pack installers before 15.0.10.1508 allows local users to interrupt service. Intel identifies the installer as the affected locus but does not disclose what authentication check is missing or how crafted local input reaches it. A local authenticated account is required, and the reported consequence is denial of service with no published crash, hang, or reboot detail.
