Unauthenticated device sessions via NetKeyboard client type
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
Authentication bypass in Dahua IP cameras and related devices built before June 2021 allows remote attackers to obtain device sessions. During the global.login sequence over DHIP or HTTP(S), firmware accepts the client-supplied NetKeyboard type on devices that do not support that client and skips identity authentication. No credentials or user interaction are required; the resulting session grants unauthorized access to affected surveillance and intercom devices.
