Script execution via unsandboxed rendering iframe
Published Jan 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FuturePress EPub.js before 0.3.89 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted EPUB document. In managers/views/iframe.js, IframeView creates the rendering iframe without a sandbox and writes EPUB content directly into its document. Exploitation requires a user to open attacker-controlled content, enabling script to run in the embedding page's browser context.
