CVE-2021-33019

Code execution via unchecked TBK buffer copy

Published Aug 30, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Delta Electronics DOPSoft 4.00.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted TBK file. The TBK parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length, allowing the data to overwrite stack memory. A victim must visit a malicious page or open the file, after which the attacker's code runs with the privileges of the DOPSoft process.
