Unauthenticated arbitrary file upload via path traversal
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Path traversal in the myCLOUD settings upload feature of mySCADA Technologies myPRO before 8.20.0 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files. The feature accepts an upload destination without sufficient path restriction, allowing a crafted path to place attacker-controlled content outside its intended directory. No authentication is required, and the established consequence is arbitrary file creation rather than disclosed code execution.
