CVE-2021-32997Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via weak password hashing

Published May 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Use of Password Hash With Insufficient Computational Effort in Bently Nevada 3500 products allows remote attackers to obtain credentials via weak encryption. The products use a weak encryption algorithm for storing and transmitting sensitive data, making credential hashes easier to recover. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the documented impact is credential confidentiality and limited integrity exposure, with no availability impact reported.
