CVE-2021-32969

Code execution via malformed XLS file parsing

Published May 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in Delta Electronics DIAScreen before 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted XLS file. Its XLS parser fails to validate user-supplied workbook data before writing before the start of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file or visit a malicious page, after which code runs in the current process or the application crashes.
