LDAP credential disclosure via unencrypted referral connections

Cleartext transmission in Interoperability Solution XDS 2.5 through 3.11 and 2018-1 through 2021-1 allows remote attackers to read LDAP credentials. When LDAP over TLS is enabled and a domain controller returns an LDAP referral, the solution follows the referral using a cleartext network connection and sends the LDAP system credentials. Exploitation requires access to that network channel and exposes the credentials without reported integrity or availability effects.
