CVE-2021-32949Network attack vector

Remote file replacement via relative path traversal

Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Relative path traversal in MDT Software AutoSave before 6.02.06 allows remote attackers to replace an existing file with a malicious file. A path-changing function accepts a designated path that can resolve outside its intended directory, then uses the resulting location as the destination for file replacement. No authentication or user interaction is required; cataloged applicability also includes AutoSave 7.00 before 7.04 and AutoSave for System Platform before 4.01 or 5.00.
