Code execution via unchecked DWG buffer write
Published Jun 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2022.4 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DWG file. The DWG file-reading procedure fails to validate user-supplied data before writing it to an allocated buffer, permitting a write past its end. A user or integrating application must open the file; successful exploitation executes code in the current process or crashes it.
