Unauthenticated code execution via single-class allowlist bypass
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unsafe deserialization in Zoho ManageEngine OpManager before 12.5.329 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands. InSecureObjectInputStream.resolveClass checks only the first class in a serialized stream, then skips its allowlist for nested objects. An unauthenticated POST can place a permitted String array first, then deliver a gadget chain that runs with the OpManager service's privileges.
