Cross-site scripting via unescaped placeholder concatenation
Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Baremetrics Date Range Picker 1.0.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script via a crafted placeholder. Calendar.js concatenates the untrusted placeholder value into a contenteditable div attribute and appends the resulting HTML without escaping. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled placeholder data and a user to render the calendar, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
