Cross-site scripting in ESDoc esdoc-publish-html-plugin 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted Markdown. The Markdown sanitizer treats a malformed HTML comment terminator as a safe comment and returns the entire tag without escaping embedded script markup. Execution requires a user to open generated documentation containing attacker-controlled Markdown, allowing script to act in that document's browser origin.
