CVE-2021-32835Network attack vector

Authenticated Groovy sandbox escape to remote code execution

Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Eclipse Keti before commit a1c8dbe allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a Groovy sandbox escape. PolicySet conditions reach a Groovy shell whose SecureASTCustomizer restrictions can be bypassed with malicious script syntax, allowing command execution on the service host. Exploitation requires permission to create Policy Sets; the demonstrated impact is post-authentication remote code execution.
