CVE-2021-32834Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via Groovy ASTTest escape

Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Code injection in Eclipse Keti through commit a1c8dbe allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via crafted PolicySet conditions. PolicySetValidatorImpl passes each attacker-controlled condition to GroovyShell.parse, while ASTTest annotations evade the customizer's method-call inspection. Access requires a bearer token authorized to create Policy Sets; successful exploitation runs commands with the Keti service process's privileges.
