Information exposure in Zlatin Balevsky MuWire before 0.8.8 allows remote authenticated users to reveal a recipient's IP address. The desktop client's message-subject renderer accepts unsanitized HTML and loads an attacker-controlled image URL over the clearnet. The attacker must know the recipient's full ID and induce the recipient to open the crafted message; the resulting request discloses only the recipient's public IP address.

What happened
