File path disclosure via verbatim exception messages
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Nextcloud Server before 19.0.13, 20.0.11, or 21.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to read file paths. Nextcloud Text request handlers returned caught exception messages directly to requesters instead of logging them and returning generic errors. Access to a shared file and a triggerable server-side exception are required, and the disclosed value is the shared file's full server path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
