Cross-site scripting via incorrect content type
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Nextcloud Text before 19.0.13, 20.0.11, and 21.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through served documents. The application fetched document files with a text/html Content-Type, causing browser HTML interpretation instead of text rendering. Exploitation requires a user to open crafted content; modern browsers enforcing the shipped Content-Security-Policy block script execution, limiting impact to browsers without that protection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
