CVE-2021-32687Network attack vector

Code execution via undersized intset allocation

Published Oct 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Integer overflow in Redis before 5.0.14, 6.0.0 through 6.0.15, and 6.2.0 through 6.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The intsetResize function multiplies a 32-bit entry count by the element width in 32 bits, so an overflow produces an undersized heap allocation. Exploitation requires permission to raise set-max-intset-entries and crafted set commands, enabling heap disclosure, corruption, or server takeover.
