CVE-2021-32672Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via unchecked debugger bulk length

Published Oct 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in the Redis Lua Debugger allows remote authenticated users to disclose process memory via malformed requests. The ldbReplParseCommand function trusts a declared bulk-string length and copies that many bytes without verifying that the client buffer contains them. Exploitation requires access to Lua debugging; the exposed bytes affect confidentiality without reported data modification or service interruption.
