LDAP attribute disclosure via unescaped username filter
Published Jun 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
LDAP injection in OneDev 4.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to infer LDAP directory attributes through login queries. The LdapAuthenticator.authenticate method inserts the submitted username into the configured User Search Filter and passes it to ctx.search after escaping only backslashes. LDAP external authentication must be enabled, and the usable payload depends on that filter; differentiated login errors expose matching attribute values.
