Authenticated PHP code execution via Twig sandbox bypass
Published Jan 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Code injection in October CMS before 1.0.473 and 1.1.0 through 1.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The Twig SecurityPolicy blocklist omits getTwig and write, so crafted template markup can reach Twig internals and write attacker-controlled PHP. Backend privileges to create, modify, and delete website pages are required, and successful exploitation executes code with the web server process's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
