Script execution via unsanitized type parameter
Published Jun 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Ampache 4.0.0 through 4.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via random.php's type parameter. The request handler forwards the type value, and the random-selection template embeds it in a form action without special-character filtering. Access to random.php requires authentication unless demo mode is enabled, and a crafted request executes script in the requester's Ampache origin.
