Unauthenticated command execution via search template injection
Published May 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in zzzcms zzzphp before 2.0.4 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the search endpoint. The parserIfLabel search-template processor accepts the user-supplied keys parameter as an if/end if template expression without proper validation, allowing embedded shell syntax to reach command execution. Authentication is not required, and successful exploitation runs commands in the web server's security context, enabling compromise of its data and service.
