Root code execution via crafted FGFM request
Published Dec 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024
Use-after-free in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer allows remote attackers to execute code as root through crafted FGFM requests. The fgfmsd daemon reuses freed memory while processing a specially crafted request received on the FGFM port. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation grants root-level control of the management appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
