Privilege escalation via cross-user AMOS log access
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Ericsson Network Manager before 21.2 allows remote authenticated users to read certain AMOS log files. ENM applies group-level access to files beneath a common log path, permitting members of the same AMOS authorization group to retrieve sensitive data. Access requires a Security Administrator-defined, highly privileged AMOS account; exposed log contents support further privilege escalation.
