Account impersonation via unchecked cookie authorization
Published May 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper authentication in SysJust CTS Web before 2021.3.24 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate accounts via cookie tampering. CTS Web trusts an authenticated client's manipulated cookie without validating that the session is authorized for the account the cookie identifies. A valid low-privilege login is required; successful abuse exposes another account's privileges and permits stock-market orders under that identity.
