Arbitrary command execution via authorization bypass
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper authorization in QSAN Storage Manager 3.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The management interface permits an administrator-authenticated session to bypass restrictions on system-instruction functions and invoke commands that the interface is intended to prohibit. Administrative credentials and network reachability to the appliance are required, after which the restricted commands run on the storage system.
