CVE-2021-32522Network attack vector

Unauthenticated account access via unlimited password guessing

Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper login-attempt limiting in QSAN QSM 3.3.1 and earlier, XEVO before 1.2.0, and SANOS 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain access. The login authentication path does not restrict failed attempts within a short interval, so it continues accepting password guesses without an effective attempt limit. Network reachability to an affected appliance login interface is sufficient, and successful guessing exposes the compromised account's privileges.
