Authenticated file disclosure via unfiltered symlink path
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Absolute path traversal in FileviewDoc in QSAN Storage Manager 3.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files. FileviewDoc fails to filter the Url path parameter and follows an injected symbolic link to a system file outside the intended path. Ordinary user privileges and network access to the management interface are sufficient; the reported consequence is file disclosure only.
