Heap buffer overflow in MediaTek Modem LR12A and LR13 allows remote attackers to execute code through a device's 2G cellular connection. The 2G radio resource management component performs an out-of-bounds heap write while processing cellular-network input. Exploitation requires an affected chipset and an active 2G connection, with no privileges or user interaction; older CVE data limits the outcome to a system crash.
