Stored XSS via unsanitized quiz ID numbers
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Moodle LMS 3.10 through 3.10.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in quiz grading reports. The quiz grading report renders user ID numbers without sufficient sanitization, allowing stored payloads to execute when reports are viewed. Exploitation requires an authenticated user able to set an ID number and another user to open the report; impact is limited to script-mediated data access or actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
