CVE-2021-32415Public exploit

SYSTEM code execution via writable temporary installer executable

Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Local privilege escalation in EXEMSI MSI Wrapper 6.0.91 through versions before 10.0.50 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. Generated MSI packages place an executable in a user-writable %TEMP%\MW- directory and later launch that path as SYSTEM without impersonation. A low-privileged local user must trigger or repair an affected installer, replace and lock the predictable executable during the race, and then gains full SYSTEM execution.
