Unauthenticated login bypass via session_id SQL injection
Published May 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in the pandora_console component of Artica Pandora FMS 742 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via the session_id parameter. The chart_generator.php endpoint passes the unsanitized session_id value into database filtering and session decoding, allowing forged session data to impersonate users. Exploitation requires network access to the Pandora FMS console but no account, and successful abuse can grant administrator access and expose or alter monitored infrastructure.
