Arbitrary file upload in NSA Emissary 5.9.0 allows authenticated users to place attacker-chosen files on an Emissary server. The file-upload handling accepts arbitrary file content instead of constraining uploads to intended data types or locations. An authenticated account is required; uploaded content can alter server-held files and can support subsequent compromise when executable or configuration files are accepted.
