Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary file upload
Published May 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Zebra FX9500 devices allows remote attackers to execute code through the unauthenticated web interface. The web interface accepts an arbitrary upload without authentication, writes it to the device filesystem, and serves it back over HTTP. Network access to the device is sufficient; crafted uploads execute with web server user privileges and expose stored data.
