Process interruption via crafted workbook memory exhaustion

Uncontrolled resource consumption in xlsx.js in SheetJS and SheetJS Pro through 0.16.9 allows attackers to exhaust memory via a crafted XLSX file. The XLSX reader mishandles the workbook during parsing and consumes memory without an effective bound; public records disclose no narrower function or data structure. User interaction is required to make the library read attacker-supplied workbook content, and the resulting memory exhaustion interrupts the host process.
