Unauthenticated REST access via DIGEST authentication bypass
Published Sep 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authentication in Infinispan 10.0.0 through 12.0.0 allows remote attackers to access protected REST endpoints. The DIGEST authentication path fails to enforce credentials across REST endpoints, so protected requests are accepted without a valid login. Exposure requires a remotely reachable REST interface configured for DIGEST; Red Hat Data Grid 8.0.0 through 8.1.1 is also affected.
