Authenticated ticket disclosure and modification via missing authorization
Published Aug 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Missing authorization in Rapid7 Nexpose 6.6.95 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to view and edit unassigned tickets. The legacy Security Console ticketing feature does not enforce ticket-assignment authorization before serving or accepting changes to ticket resources. Any Security Console account can therefore read or alter other users' ticket contents; Rapid7 has not published the affected handler or request path.
