Stored XSS via unsanitized alert configuration
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in McAfee Data Loss Prevention Endpoint before 11.6.200 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The ePO administrator extension stores administrator-supplied script in the alert configuration text field without neutralizing it for later display. Exploitation requires ePO DLP administrator access, and the payload runs only when an endpoint user triggers a DLP policy.
