CVE-2021-31831

Signed SQL script disclosure via stale REST access

Published Jun 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper access control in McAfee Database Security before 4.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to read deleted or expired signed SQL scripts. The REST API returns scripts that the administrative console has marked deleted or expired instead of enforcing their inaccessible state. Access requires an authenticated account and API reachability; the disclosed consequence is exposure of retained SQL script contents.
