CVE-2021-3179Public exploit

Local vault access via extractable password hash

Published Dec 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in the GGLocker iOS application allows local users to unlock its password vault using an extracted password hash. LoginViewController's perform function compares an MD5 hash of the entered password with the stored disk_md5_pwd value, which can be extracted, cracked, or manipulated at runtime. Access to the device and the app's local data or runtime is required; successful exploitation exposes credentials stored in the vault.
